Founded in 1998 by Michael Hentgen, CIH, AERO EH&S has grown from a one man operation to an experienced staff of ten employees serving a diverse client base with simple to complex needs.
Senior members of the staff, on average, have more than 20 years of applicable experience, including experience at national consulting firms. Both individually and collectively, AERO’s staff has completed thousands of environmental, health, and safety consulting projects for private and goverment clients.
AERO’s staff possesses both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the following disciplines:
- Chemistry; Biology/Environmental Biology; Ecology; Environmental Policy and Planning; Environmental Science; Industrial Technology; Marine Science; and Oceanography.
AERO’s staff also possesses a number of professional registrations and certifications, including but not limited to the following:
- Certified Industrial Hygienist; Registered Environmental Manager; Certified Environmental Auditor; AHERA Inspector/Management Planner; Project Designer, and Supervisor; OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations; Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor; Project Designer; Abatement Supervisor; Confined Space Entry; and NIOSH 582.
Additionally, many AERO employees hold current security clearances allowing non-escorted access on government facilities.
AWARDS
Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, AERO provided environmental, health and safety, and industrial hygiene services at the American Airlines Flight 77 crash site at the Pentagon. As a result of our work, AERO was presented numerous awards from the Pentagon, the Secretary of the Army, the U.S. Army Chief of Staff, and the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
